This show saw the designers mainly showcasing on various patterns-bold, checks, bright and abstracts.
The show opened with Digvijy Singh’s collection. He started off with some earthy tones followed by summary hues marked by lovely geometric patterns. The most interesting feature of the show was the board-game prints with our very own Ludo & Snakes & Ladders. Long kurtis teamed with bold colours and fabrics in dual-toned shades could be seen. The mens wear mainly focussed on chequered jackets. The female models were seen in matte coral lips. The colourful show was ended with handsome actor Ali Fazal accompanying the equally handsome designer Singh to the ramp. A true Bollywood saga.
Vaishali S created magic with touches of the North-East in her creations. The focus on Eastern Himalayas were very obvious from her hand-woven fabrics. The tribal tunes, the use of simple cotton fabrics in long dresses, shorts and skirts were a treat for the eyes. The designer’s creativity was further extended to other detailing like crochet jackets and black lace sleeves. A tribal journey into the mountains of the North-East.
The show was clearly pattern-oriented with a lot of bold colours making the rounds.
