Shruti Sancheti’s East India Company was entirely true to its name. British, effervescent and so inspiring. The silhouettes were Indian but the look was quite contemporary. The floral motifs that bloomed on her clothing were definitely taking after Victorian floral prints and the colour palette was reminiscent of that era too. Deep blues, burgundies and reds lent an extremely royal, blue-blood feel to her collection. The lehenga combinations and the floor length anarkali cut kurtis are definitely pieces I have my heart set on. The intricate hand embroidery on the raw silk fabric made ‘Pinnacle’ a hit with almost everyone. A job well done.
