Rajesh Pratap Singh: Weaving magic on Day 3 WLIFW

Some designers possess the power to give the indigenous design and weave techniques an international make over. If there is someone who has managed to bring denim and khadi together in the perfect unison, it is Rajesh Pratap Singh. A show that began with his artisans and weavers, seated on the runway in a choir like fashion, this show entailed showcasing techniques of engineering fabric, khadi denim, steel blended denim all derived from selvedge denim. The ‘Blue blood’, as the collection was called only showed garments that had been dyed with actual indigo. The denim jackets, pant suits, dungarees, khadi suspender sets, skirts all came together for a flawless collection by the maestro. Spring Summer definitely looks blue-da-ba-doo.
